Buenos Aires, March 2017.- It tells the story of a remarkable singer and actress, who embodied humorous tango with great expressiveness, at a time when male singers shone in all media, she imposed her presence and created a unique and personal style.

"Looking for Tita" pays tribute to this popular icon, to Buenos Aires and its Tango; through the testimony of different personalities of the culture and artistic scene such as: Susana Rinaldi, Silvia Mores, María José Demare, Jorge Jacobson, Sandra Mihanovich, Horace Lannes, Miguel Angel Zotto, HéctorOlivera, Javier Calamaroy Dana Frígoli.

In this piece, Director and screenwriter, Teresa Costantini, takes a tour through the thousands of Buenos Aires' neighborhoods that Tita knew how to imprint with her personality, accompanied by the rhythm of the best tangos that were present throughout her career: “Se dice de mí”, “Arrabalera”,“La Muchachada del centro”,“Los amores con la crisis” and others, are some of the outstanding musical moments.

From its beginnings, as a Varieté dancer, until she became a figure of Argentina's cinema (also of theater, radio, television and song) whose existence, plagued with bitter moments, and ups and downs, was shaping her unique personality, one of the most recognizable and representative of the diverse twentieth-century Buenos Aires society.

Her arrival at the cinema, in the first Argentine sound film, Tango! (Luis Moglia Barth, 1933), is due to her condition as a songwriter, interpreting the songs "Yo soy asíp'alamor", "No salgas de tu barrio", and "La chiflada".

During her extensive film career, titles such as Arrabalera (TulioDemicheli, 1950), FilomenaMarturano (Luis Motura, 1950), Los Isleros (Lucas Demare, 1951), Mercado de Abasto (Lucas Demare, 1955,) La Morocha (RalphPappier, 1958), Amorina (Hugo del Carril, 1961) and many others.
