SYNOPSIS

Viviana is a middle class dentist who’s been married to Mario, a university profesor, for fifteen years. They have no children, and Viviana has started to get anxious since she’s now 41.

She’s obssessed with the idea of having a child, she cannot sleep, and decides to sep her practice going round the clock. When she comes back, exhausted, at 7 o’ clock in the morning, Mario gets up to go to work. This situation has led the couple to meet very little, since breakfast seems to be the only time of day when they can be together. One morning, Viviana’s car breaks down on the high-way.

Andrés, who’s driving his tow-truck, comes to her rescue. Viviana motivated by a picture wich shows Andres surrounded by a picture which shows she has found the right candidate. She suggests that they should become sexual partners so that she can get pregnant. In the meantime, Mario has also found some company at home. He’s sending his time with Mónica, a young liberal dancers who keeps him bussy. Everything seems all right. But the relationship between Viviana and Andrés starts to grow. The pregnancy doesn’t arrive and Viviana begins to have pangs of guilt so she tells Andrés she is leaving him.

In his anguish Andrés looks for Mario and tells him about his love affair with Viviana. Mario is chocked but he realices this situation could only work to his advantage so he decides to accept this triangle and let Viviana know. But she will have nothing to to with either men unless they all live together. Mario refuses, but he ends up having to put up with Andrés who moves in. The delicate balance Mario had managed to establish begins to crack.

When Mónica finds out tha Viviana is living with Andres who is her lover, she demands that Mario take her to live with him under the same conditions. Since Mario refuses, Mónica breaks all the windows of the house in a fit of rage and manages to make herself accepted. This situation of four people living together becomes unbearable and will led to a very unexpected end.
